Cavalier Logistics is seeking a full-time Domestic Operations Supervisor to join our team in Union City, near Atlanta, GA. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who can offer a high standard of accuracy and customer service to fulfill the client shipping needs. The ideal candidate will assist our customers in every aspect of their shipment from pickup to delivery, while also providing supervision of the Domestic team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner
  • Assist the Department Manager with supervision of the Domestic department team members.
  • Assist in training current and new members of the team.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to work methods to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Accommodate clients' freight routing needs.
  • Perform cost analysis of services provided by different vendors.
  • Schedule pick-up and delivery of cargo.
  • Preparing and/or proofreading all associated documents.
  • Providing proof of delivery to customers.
  • Share on-call duties with other department members.
  • Work closely with other departments (export/import) to deliver a high level of service to customers.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills a must
  • Willing and able to learn new tasks with training provided
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work with demanding deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough, accurate, and solve problems efficiently
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Education:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED

Industry Experience:
  • Industry experience a plus, one-year experience preferred
